The "Electrical Whine" Phenomenon: What’s going on inside?

You build your PC, install your favourite game, crank the settings up to "Ultra" and, suddenly, a high-pitched noise starts emanating from your tower. It’s not a fan rubbing against a cable; it’s the dreaded Coil Whine.
